This was a photoshoot with one of my best friends as an early birthday gift

I don't think this one is as good as the other one that is similar to it... but its still good

i went through a number of butterfly pictures... *can nobody seriously take a good picture of a butterfly actually flying?.. gosh*

but yea..the lighting on the butterflies went well and so did the over all lighting..
but i still like the other one better

I really love how happy this picture makes me. The lighting is mysterious and warm, and the smile... That's what makes the whole thing. The smile really brought me into the picture. I feel excited and happy just because he looks the same. I really think this is my favorite compared to the others you took.

I absolutely love the magical light in this pic ^_^
Butterflies can symbolize innocence and life because they only live a short time.

Aww, yay! Books are such magical things!
I wish butterflies would fly out of my books...
But this picture really shows the magic of reading. I'm sure anyone who loves reading could identify with this picture. I can see it hanging on the wall in a library or bookstore or something. Except he'd probably have to put a shirt on.
But it's nice that he doesn't have a shirt on, the absence of the shirt makes him look more comfortable, this is his time to chill out and take it easy and he's choosing to spend it relaxing with a book. And he's so absorbed in the book that he can't put it down, so he keeps reading it long into the night. I've been there before.
This picture reminds me of kids who continue reading under their covers with a flashlight long after their bed times. He looks like the kind of guy who did that when he was a kid, and even though he's grown up he continues to be enchanted by the magic of reading.
It's obvious that you love books, Johnny, to be able to make this picture look so good. I don't think it would have been nearly as enchanting if you didn't share the feeling.

You shouldn't be surprised, this picture (and your other pictures) is so wonderful. Like with many of your pictures I can look at it and I see a story that just unfolds through the picture. It's not just some random picture, there's actually something happening and you can tell there's a story behind it. That's what makes a good picture, the ability to tell a story.
Your pictures are worth a thousand words.
