Aww, yay! Books are such magical things!
I wish butterflies would fly out of my books...
But this picture really shows the magic of reading. I'm sure anyone who loves reading could identify with this picture. I can see it hanging on the wall in a library or bookstore or something. Except he'd probably have to put a shirt on.
But it's nice that he doesn't have a shirt on, the absence of the shirt makes him look more comfortable, this is his time to chill out and take it easy and he's choosing to spend it relaxing with a book. And he's so absorbed in the book that he can't put it down, so he keeps reading it long into the night. I've been there before.
This picture reminds me of kids who continue reading under their covers with a flashlight long after their bed times. He looks like the kind of guy who did that when he was a kid, and even though he's grown up he continues to be enchanted by the magic of reading.
It's obvious that you love books, Johnny, to be able to make this picture look so good. I don't think it would have been nearly as enchanting if you didn't share the feeling.

You shouldn't be surprised, this picture (and your other pictures) is so wonderful. Like with many of your pictures I can look at it and I see a story that just unfolds through the picture. It's not just some random picture, there's actually something happening and you can tell there's a story behind it. That's what makes a good picture, the ability to tell a story.
Your pictures are worth a thousand words.
