More of my work

With my Keyblades, I strive to obtain 100% accuracy in every possible way. I attempt to go beyond by selecting premium unique color choices and even enhancing details to my own designs. Out of love to the Kingdom Hearts series, it is my honor to craft such elite weaponry not only for my personal admiration, but for my fellow cosplayers, prop makers, friends, and fans. I would be nothing without my friends and fans. The intense hard work, sweat, blood, and tears that I put into making these is worth it. I hope that one day my talents and artwork may be recognized highly by others. Thank you.

Very excellent tutorial. One thing I would add to this though, is that the finish pieces, the wood still looks a little messy (My wording sucks, ignore that) But what I mean is perhaps take the time to sand down edges and just in general, most of the areas. Maybe round off Roxas's key blade handle (where the checkers are) A little bit more. It looks really flat and uncomfortable to hold at the moment. I would love to see more Work-In-Progress' in the future though. By the way, where exactly did you get those paints? Keep up the good work.

Definitely one of the best tutorials I've seen in a long time; careful consideration was put into making this just right, however the file is quote large; perhaps next time a separate tutorial for each? As far as the tutorial itself goes, excellent job on each keyblade, some areas seemed rough and maybe a bit quick to explain, but the pverall appearance seems to have come out well, especially for cosplay. This tutorial offers a good cost-effective use of plywood over metals, piping, etc. Provided that the maker has the proper tools. As the previous critiquer stated, perhaps some sanding could be used because it does indeed look a little rough, then again, that's all up to the makers own discretion.

Excellent job on these, and who knows, maybe I will be able to make something like your amazing keyblades using this tutorial (I hope so! xD )

Everything you have made looks absolutely amazing ! I'm blown away ! I was just thinking about trying a project like this myself, would I have a tough time trying to make bond of flame? Do I need to be some master woodcarver or is it easier than it looks ? Great job !

Thanks son much!! You should five it a try! Definitely rewarding once you've finished.

Bond of flame was challenging for me but I did complete it faster than any other keyblade. Take your time and enjoy making your own!! :D

Is the gesso the same stuff used for canvas? I searched for gesso wood primer, but came up with Nada.

Simply put, this is just pure genius. It lays everything out for anyone to understand and keeps it simple even when dealing with complex parts and intricate details. But on the whole, your work has been improving particularly your painting. Could you tell me just how the hell you managed to make the metallic finish look so genuine? I have been trying for weeks and every sword I make just looks like metal spray paint instead of actual metal.

On the whole, this is by far one of the most useful tutorials on any weaponry I've found so far. The great thing is that you can apply this to ANY weapons, not just Keyblades. Spledid. Simply splendid. I've been in love with your work since I found your Xigbar Arrowguns by chance, and I can't wait to see what else you do in the future.

I do have questions, though. I'm planning on cosplaying Aqua in full armor sans helmet, and I was wondering if you had any hints/help for both the armor and the keychains for her Keyblades, Rainfell and Stormfall.

:iconimsorryplz: really?!

Thanks so much!! You really can apply it to most weapons :D which is great.

Thanks for liking my arrowguns! they were pretty hard  to make all by hand :|

Aquas stormfall and rainfell are pretty straightforward, simple angled pieces. I would cut out small parts of the keyblade so you can craft a test piece that way you wont feel as if you're going to mess up. don't forget patience! the more patient you are, the better your keyblade becomes :)

As for armor.. i'd start with paper craft to get the proportions and sizing correct on your body before molding it from expensive plastics.

Hope this helps! :D

Ah! My breath is taken away from how beautiful your whole gallery is and you even have a tutorial to make one of your amazingly, beautiful keyblades!

I'm so heartbroken that I just found your DA today- how could I have missed such wonderful work for all this time?! I've been thinking for a while now if I want to make a keyblade myself, I just never thought I would have enough skill to make one, but seeing this tutorial and going through your gallery has given me a burst of inspiration to try! For that I thank you so very much!

Yet again I simply adore your work and cannot wait to see more from work from you. :worship:

Haha I would, but it's a little complicated. He lives in a totally different state to me and we're in a long distance relationship at the moment. Even if he could do it, it would get a bit costly to send it to me. Never mind, I've seen Keyblades being sold at a convention I went to a few months ago. Maybe I'll just buy one for myself if I can afford to :D

Also, apologies for the late reply. Being a uni student gets kinda busy sometimes haha

Yea it's a trade-off but it works out. The tutorial brings in a lot of new people and yea some secrets are revealed but to truly follow and master the tutorial beyond my instruction, takes practice and skill. :) So really it's more like a challenge.

I also greatly enjoy receiving messages from people who have successfully made themselves a keyblade. And to my surprise, they do a great job!
