This sword is made from Pine wood, Matt board, and is just under 6 feet tall. The sword is very light weighing at 6 pounds (2.8 kilo) yet very durable. The sword is engineered to have all the weight to be distributed to the handle efficiently. Carved into the handle is a serial number covered by genuine hand-dyed leather. Finishing touches include gunmetal textured paint and edged with a sheet metal film.

More of my work:
With my sculptures, I strive to obtain 100% accuracy in every possible way. I attempt to go beyond by selecting premium unique color choices and even enhancing details to my own designs. Out of love to the Square Enix family, it is my honor to craft such elite weaponry not only for my personal admiration, but for my fellow cosplayers, prop makers, friends, and fans. I would be nothing without my friends and fans. The intense hard work, sweat, blood, and tears that I put into making these is worth it. I hope that one day my talents and artwork may be recognized highly by others. Thank you.
This is a fantastic piece of work with stunning details. In an attempt to fully re-create the Buster Sword in it's original form, Johnny had to use concept art and other drawings to plan out the shape, volume, and dimensions of the sword while also considering materials and durability. He pulled this off marvelously. The weight when held feels really balanced and the grip feels solid. The detailing on the handle is a really super nice touch, and the grey paint and sheet metal edges are very very shiny.
Suggestions for being more awesome: try experimenting with different glues use some weighted boards for more even foam distribution fold sheet metal seams and tuck under for gluing largely nitpicks, but hey, gotta have those in a critique
A few things needed to be repaired due to the rather rough handling from shipping, but everything still looks good and makes this a great piece of wield-able art to own. It is a dynamite replica sword and I am very satisfied. Thanks a bunch Johnny!
OH Johnny. *swoons* THIS is a beautiful work of art. It's even cleaner than your other buster sword. The Red grip on the hilt is absolutely stunning. As i said in my last Critique the rivets are flawless. The Angle on the blade is amazing. It looks better than i could have expected. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the metal finish. That to me was the first thing that separated you from the other prop makers that I've seen, and you apply it flawlessly. This is so Stunning that i actually Gasped when i saw it in my inbox. Job well done. Whoever got this masterpiece is a very very lucky person.
